The vision for modernising the schools estate is about renewal, rationalisation and reform. This £600m programme aims to completely renew the educational infrastructure, addressing over-capacity and providing the right-sized schools, in the right places, for the benefit of pupils, teachers, parents and the wider community. The increased level of investment requires new procurement and delivery arrangements. A Programme Delivery and Support Unit (PDSU) has been established and SIB provides strategic support to its Programme Manager.
