The Government currently spends £70m a year on 77 office buildings across Northern Ireland. Through Workplace 2010, this portfolio has been offered to the market as a total property PFI for the delivery of a long term capital investment and estate management service. It will cover the main elements of the Greater Belfast and Stormont portfolio, with 35 Jobs and Benefits offices and 7 large regional offices. The primary objectives are to encourage more efficient, cost effective management through the introduction of new, modern ways of working. SIB has embedded a full time strategic adviser in the team to deal with the day-to-day management issues and to monitor the delivery of outputs/products.
